Ep 54 Ranking Our Favorite Korean Foods!
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Korean culture has taken America by storm these past few years. Squid Game and BTS are now household names around the world. But before any of us had heard of Crash Landing On You or Black Pink, Korean food was making its way into our hearts and stomachs.
For today’s episode, I invited some friends to pick their favorite Korean foods and rank them on tiers. Lisa, who lived in Korea for almost 2 years, Keri who was born and raised in Seoul, and Korean American NYC native Ben came along to help me.
I hope you find our picks and descriptions deliciously fun! ***I'll post our complete list of picks in a few days, for now, you HAVE to listen if you want to know what foods got picked!***
You can follow Lisa @Ieatsleepplay, Keri @theigcoach, and Ben @nebnaa on Instagram. Hear more of Ben’s hilarious takes over at The Worst Asian Podcast on all the major podcast carriers, and @worstasianpod on social media

Dave Lu is many things. He's a son, husband, and dad. He’s an entrepreneur/investor. He’s an advocate for social justice and change. He’s also a Hollywood producer, having helped secure funding for the new HBO Max Documentary, 38 At the Garden. This short documentary, streaming on HBO Max, follows the cultural impact of NBA trailblazer Jeremy Lin during his 2011-12 season with the New York Knicks and the cultural phenomenon known as "Linsanity". Dave was kind enough to share his personal connection with that moment and some of what it took to get the film made.
You can watch the 38-minute film on HBO and HBO Max, and follow @hbomax and @38atthegarden
Thanks to Dave Lu for chatting with us! Find out more about how Dave is supporting Asian American founders and entrepreneurs at Hyphencap.com and join the social justice network he helped start at Standwithasianamericans.com Learn more about his restaurant performance management company Getexpo.com

Ep 50 Talking Turntables and Twitch with DJ Mish!
Tuesday Sep 27, 2022
Tuesday Sep 27, 2022
It must be pretty empowering to be at the turntables with thousands of people vibing to the songs you are playing. Well, that’s what DJ Mish does for a living. Mish was building a name for herself in 2019, but then the pandemic hit. She survived by DJing live on Twitch where she built up a loyal group of followers called Squishies. Now that live sets are back, Mish is playing all over the US, including a set at Coachella this year. Haley and I had a great time talking with Mish, and we really hope you enjoy listening too. Thanks so much for listening in!
To see where Mish is playing follow her over on Instagram @_DJMish_ and watch her live streams over at Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/djmish Or you can hear her Coachella live set on SoundCloudhttps://on.soundcloud.com/3SdPr
Thank you to Haley for helping me again!

Ep 49 Chatting with Two of the Creators and Stars of the Hulu Show Creamerie!
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
You know we get excited about Asian representation in media here at the InfatuAsian Podcast. Anytime we see Asian Americans in Movies, books, or on television we get a little hyped. But, perhaps one of the best examples of Asian representation in media isn’t from America but comes from New Zealand. Four Kiwi Chinese Women of the production company called Flat3 have been uploading short web series episodes to YouTube for almost 10 years. , They’re mostly silly, outrageously funny skits depicting life as young Asian women living in Aukland. But, in 2021 they produced an apocalyptic dark comedy on network television, called Creamerie. Creamerie went on to win the best television drama award in New Zealand and got picked up by Hulu and is now streaming worldwide on their platform. We had the immense privilege of chatting with two of the creators who produced and starred in the show, Perlina Lau and JJ Fong. Hope you enjoy listening to our chat it was a really fun time!
Watch Creamerie on Hulu! Or on SBS Australia or TVNZ On Demand if you’re in that part of the world. You can watch their web series by searching FLAT3 Productions on YouTube. Follow Perlina @perlinalau or JJ @the.jjfong on Instagram.
